Berroa, who becomes eligible for salary arbitration, earned $4.75 million this season.

The 30-year-old Berroa served as the Dodgers' primary shortstop after being acquired from the Kansas City Royals on June 6 for minor league infielder Juan Rivera, hitting .230 with one homer and 16 RBIs in 84 games.

Rafael Furcal, who missed 125 games because of back problems, returned to the lineup in the postseason, with Berroa limited to part-time duty, mainly as a defensive replacement. Berroa had one hit in two postseason at-bats.
