Dodgers manager Joe Torre recently expressed hope that Ramirez, a free agent who turns 37 in May, would return to the team for the upcoming season.
Several media outlets reported that Los Angeles offered Ramirez a $45 million, two-year contract in November. Boras is thought to be seeking at least a four-year deal for the enigmatic slugger, who declined the Dodgers' offer of arbitration in December.
A .314 career hitter with 527 home runs and 1,725 RBIs, Ramirez led Los Angeles to the NL championship series last season after arriving from Boston in a July 31 trade. He batted .396 with 17 homers, 53 RBIs and a .743 slugging percentage in 53 games with the Dodgers.
