--3B Casey Blake missed his second consecutive game Sunday with a tight left hamstring. The injury is a reoccurrence of a hamstring issue he had in early May that caused him to rest a few days. He also had a right hamstring problem at the end of May. Blake, who has gone eight games without an RBI, might need a few more days to get back in the lineup. --PH Jim Thome injured his right foot on a fly ball in the ninth inning of Sunday's defeat to the Padres. After making contact, Thome limped to first base and then again back to the dugout. Manager Joe Torre called it the aggravation of an existing injury and the slugger will be re-evaluated Monday. --RHP Jeff Weaver continues to flourish in his long-relief role, coming off an eight-day break Sunday to pitch two more scoreless innings against the Padres. Weaver is 1-0 with a 2.29 ERA over his last six outings, two of which are starts. In seven spot starts this season, he is 2-1 with a 3.13 ERA.

RHP Hiroki Kuroda (concussion) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to Aug. 16. He made a rehab start for Class A Inland Empire on Sept. 1, and he started for the Dodgers on Sept. 6.
RHP Guillermo Mota (ingrown toenail) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to Aug. 30.
RHP Jason Schmidt (strained right shoulder) went on the 15-disabled list retroactive to Aug. 6, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on Aug. 27.
OF Xavier Paul (staph infection) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 21, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on July 27. His recovery was slowed in July by a microfracture in his left ankle.
LHP Eric Milton (lower back strain) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to June 28, and he was transferred to the 60-day disabled list July 20. He had surgery July 14, and he might miss the remainder of the season.
LHP Will Ohman (sore left shoulder) went on the 15-day disabled list May 29, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on July 30. He began a rehab assignment with Class A Inland Empire on June 16, but he was shut down June 24 due to an ailing elbow.
LHP Travis Schlichting (back) was called up from the minors and placed on the 60-day disabled list Sept. 1.
