Dodgersclub.com | Los Angeles Dodgers News, dodgers Scores, Game Recaps & Commentary - --RHP Chad Billingsley, who was attempting to become the National League's first six-game winner, was left with no decision Thursday after the bullpen allowed a ninth-inning lead to get away. But Billingsley still cut his road ERA this season to 1.63 (five earned runs, 27 2/3 innings) and remained unbeaten in four starts away from Dodger Stadium. Billingsley has pitched at least seven innings in each of his past starts, and he hasn't allowed more than three runs in any of his eight starts this season.
--RHP Ramon Troncoso picked up his second career save, retiring three of four batters in the bottom of the 10th and striking out Ryan Howard to end the game. Troncoso has allowed no runs in 11 of his past 12 appearances, a streak that was broken only by a three-run blowup in two-thirds of an inning against Washington on May 7. In six road appearances this season, Troncoso has a 0.69 ERA, having allowed one earned run in 13 innings. --RF Andre Ethier finally broke out of a 2-for-30 slide with an opposite-field single off Philadelphia's Ryan Madson in the eighth inning. In his next plate appearance, with two outs and nobody on in the 10th, Ethier worked Chad Durbin for a seven-pitch walk, jump-starting a two-run, game-winning rally for the Dodgers. Ethier has four hits in 35 at-bats over his past eight games, lowering his average from .327 to .272.
MEDICAL WATCH:

RHP Claudio Vargas (right elbow tendinitis) went on the 60-day disabled list retroactive to April 6. He might return as soon as he's eligible.
