nice tour begins at the top deck...pay $15 dollars...get a little bit of the history of
the dodgers from a guide...he talks about the retired numbers in the outfield, about the
meaning of the colors of the seats (something I never knew before & explains why a
cleveland fan at a dodger game a year ago once quizzed me about the colors of the seats &
looked smug when I didn't know--he must have taken the tour & thought he was so smart & I
was so dumb especially since I was a dodger fan--albeit I am MORE of an Angel fan --see
dugout scene) ...anyways, a TRUE FAN is more concerned with the game, not the
architecture, but if you want to get a feel for dodger stadium try the tour, albeit I have
been on MUCH better tours (of different stadiums) before (not to say our guide was not
good but that I've been on tours where you go into the locker room, into the bullpen,
etc..I'm sure he was just following orders...) . From the top deck you go down the
elevator to the Vin Scully press box..see a lot of pics on the walls, see Nancy Bea's
organ, lots of Jackie Robinson memorabilia everywhere..go through some hallways, executive
suites, ...further downward past a wall with the names of all previous dodgers written on
it...into the dugout cafe...or something like that--where the high-price ticket payers can
lounge if they wish--sometimes people have wedding receptions there, we were
informed..(you can even have a wedding on the field, if you pay the price)....thru a
hallway with a lot of ...

The Manny Ramirez saga came to a close on Monday, as the controversial slugger was awarded
to the Chicago White Sox through a waiver claim from the Los Angeles Dodgers. Ramirez, who
is expected to join the White Sox on Tuesday in Cleveland, has been limited to 66 games
this season and is batting .311 with eight homers and 40 RBI. He's spent three separate
stints on the disabled list, two for a strained calf and one for a bad hamstring. The
Dodgers had acquired Ramirez from Boston on July 31, 2008 and was a key figure in the
club's back-to-back NLCS appearances in 2008-09.

Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Jhoulys Chacin tossed seven innings of one-run ball and
Carlos Gonzalez powered the Rockies' offense in a 5-3 victory over the Dodgers. Gonzalez
tripled and hit a two-run homer for the Rockies, winners in five of their last six games.
Todd Helton also homered, while Chacin (7-9) withstood four hits and four walks and struck
out seven to pick up the victory. "He's really beginning to arrive," Rockies manager Jim
Tracy said of Chacin. "He is definitely a huge bright spot for our club with what's taken
place this season." Chad Billingsley (10-8) gave up three runs on five hits and five walks
in a six-inning start for the Dodgers, who had their four-game win streak snapped. "I had
a good fastball, but my off-speed wasn't there," Billingsley said. "You have days like
that." Both National League West teams are stuck in the middle of the wild card race, as
the Rockies stayed within 4 1/2 games of the Phillies and Los Angeles fell 5 1/2 games
behind the pace-setters. Casey Blake, who hit a grand slam to carry LA in the opener of
this three-game set, doubled home James Loney in the second inning for an early lead, then
was walked intentionally to load the bases in the fourth. Chacin was able to get Jamey
Carroll to ground out and end the threat, and the Rockies went ahead in the bottom half.
