nice tour begins at the top deck...pay $15 dollars...get a little bit of the history of the dodgers from a guide...he talks about the retired numbers in the outfield, about the meaning of the colors of the seats (something I never knew before & explains why a cleveland fan at a dodger game a year ago once quizzed me about the colors of the seats & looked smug when I didn't know--he must have taken the tour & thought he was so smart & I was so dumb especially since I was a dodger fan--albeit I am MORE of an Angel fan --see dugout scene) ...anyways, a TRUE FAN is more concerned with the game, not the architecture, but if you want to get a feel for dodger stadium try the tour, albeit I have been on MUCH better tours (of different stadiums) before (not to say our guide was not good but that I've been on tours where you go into the locker room, into the bullpen, etc..I'm sure he was just following orders...) . From the top deck you go down the elevator to the Vin Scully press box..see a lot of pics on the walls, see Nancy Bea's organ, lots of Jackie Robinson memorabilia everywhere..go through some hallways, executive suites, ...further downward past a wall with the names of all previous dodgers written on it...into the dugout cafe...or something like that--where the high-price ticket payers can lounge if they wish--sometimes people have wedding receptions there, we were informed..(you can even have a wedding on the field, if you pay the price)....thru a hallway with a lot of retired dodger jerseys & one empty frame to serve as inspiration for the next dodger great's retired jersey (who will be next ?).. .& finally down the last hallway towards the infield behind homeplate..you go past a giant picture of Kirk Gibson celebrating after his famous World Series homerun of 1988 which a lot of people credit as the inspiration for the Dodgers ultimate World Series championship...on to the infield..in the dugout..lots of time to enjoy the field from field level...then back up & out...decent tour... also got some info about the Brooklyn Dodgers..and some pics of them at Ebbets Field..& our guide said there STILL REMAINS a third locker room--that the Angels used to use...& is now used for storage..DON'T FORGET--ANGELS STARTED HERE TOO!
